Expectations

We strive to create a positive and competitive environment for all our athletes in Regina. Success on the field starts with clear communication and shared commitment between coaches, players, and parents.

Tournaments

Tournament schedules are set early in the season. Participation in all scheduled tournaments is expected to ensure team cohesion and competitive readiness.

Travel, Hotel & Meal Costs

Families are responsible for all individual travel expenses, including accommodations and meals during away tournaments. Teams may occasionally coordinate group hotel bookings.

Provincials Dates & Locations

Provincial championships are a highlight of the season. For the most current schedule of dates and host locations, please visit the Softball Saskatchewan website.

Level 'A' Team Commitment

Level 'A' teams require a high degree of dedication. This includes mandatory attendance at all practices, training sessions, and games throughout the entire season.

Please note that team-specific commitments and schedules may vary based on coach and parent group decisions made at the start of the year.

Equipment

Players are responsible for their basic gear, including gloves, cleats, and batting helmets. For a detailed list of required and recommended items, please see our Equipment page.

ZONE 1 PRIDE

What We Expect

Player Commitment

We expect every player to show up with a positive attitude, ready to learn and support their teammates. Growth is our priority.

Parent Engagement

Parents are our biggest cheerleaders. We ask for respectful sideline behavior and active participation in league events.

Code of Conduct

Integrity on and off the field defines Zone 1. We uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship towards officials and opponents.

Consistent Participation

Softball is a team sport. We expect timely attendance at practices and games to ensure every player gets the most out of their season.

Gameplay Spirit

While we play to win, we treasure the lesson of the game. We expect players to handle victory with humility and defeat with grace.

Volunteering & Helping Out

Our zone has committed to volunteering at a select number of tournaments each year. To ensure adequate participation, teams will be required to provide a volunteer bond, which will be refunded once their obligations have been fulfilled. Volunteering is at the heart of this organization and is essential to its continued success.
